Vi vet som sagt inte allt för mycket om The Batman i nuläget, som skrivs och regisseras av Matt Reeves där vi ser Robert Pattinson i huvudrollen som mästerdetektiven. Dock vet vi sedan tidigt in i produktionen att filmen ska utforska detektivarbetet och enligt Daniel Richtman har handlingen för filmen nu bekräftat detta. Enligt källan ska den nämligen handla om att Batman utreder en rad mystiska mord, och flera av hans värsta fiender är misstänkta.
"The Batman will explore a detective case — when people start dying in strange ways, Batman must go deep into the dark world of Gotham to find clues and solve the mystery/conspiracy connected to Gotham City's history and criminals. In the film, all of Batman Rogues Gallery are already out there and active, similar to the comics and animated shows/movies. The film will have multiple villains, as they are all suspects."
