Hangzhou Spark release Takoyaki and GodsB

The Overwatch League team is making a few roster changes during the Summer Showdown.

So far this season, the Hangzhou Spark Overwatch League team has had a pretty reasonable showing, with their record being positive, and only slightly behind third place in the East region, which is being held by the Philadelphia Fusion. But, the team has a lot of talent and has never really made an impact in the various tournament playoffs so far, and to make up for that, the Spark are making a few roster changes as it looks to head further into the Summer Showdown.

Young-hyun "Takoyaki" Lee has been released by the team, and only a few days prior Kyeong-bo "GodsB" Kim also received the same treatment, leaving the team with two open slots on its roster. Considering a lot of Overwatch League teams don't use full rosters, it will be interesting to see whether the Spark look to recruit an extra two players, or if they instead decide to focus on the players that remain.

Either way, the team will play next in the Summer Showdown on Friday, July 9, when they take on the New York Excelsior at 10:00 BST / 11:00 CEST.
