Den briljanta rysaren A Quiet Place en stor succé för filmbolaget Paramount, som nu satsar på att släppa en uppföljare i maj 2020 och nu står det även klart att Jack Ryan-skådisen John Krasinski - som ju regisserade, skrev manus och spelade huvudrollen för skräckisen - kommer att stå för manus även denna gång. Detta hade han att säga om att förverkliga sina uppföljarplaner till Hollywood Reporter:
"I had this small idea for a sequel, but I didn't think it would go anywhere. So, I said to the studio, 'Just go do the movie with somebody else. They heard some pitches, and I told Drew Form about this little idea. And he told me to think about it a little longer. And then I thought, 'This might really work.' So, I'm currently writing the sequel."
