Marvel-snubben Jon Favreau har nu fått ett erbjudande om att ta fram en Star Wars-serie åt Disney och Lucasfilm. Tydligen ska han både skriva och producera TV-serien. Inte nog med att Lucasfilm dominerar biograferna med sina pampiga storfilmer, nu ska de även börja satsa på mindre projekt i samband med att Disneys streaming-service lanseras någon gång nästa år. Studiobossen Kathleen Kennedy har följande att säga om projektet:
"I couldn't be more excited about Jon coming on board to produce and write for the new direct-to-consumer platform. Jon brings the perfect mix of producing and writing talent, combined with a fluency in the Star Wars universe. This series will allow Jon the chance to work with a diverse group of writers and directors and give Lucasfilm the opportunity to build a robust talent base."
