Goro Miyazakis nya film är som bekant en datoranimerad fabel och av det lilla man har sett från Earwig and the Witch så har animationsstilen inte riktigt tilltalat alla Ghibli-fantaster därute. Efter att ha sett inledningen till Earwig and the Witch ser det hela dock betydligt mer intresseväckande ut än vi trodde. Earwig and the Witch får amerikansk biopremiär den tredje februari och HBO MAX-premiär den femte februari. Något svenskt datum har ännu inte spikats. Ser detta ut som något för dig?
Synopsis:
Growing up in an orphanage in the British countryside, Earwig has no idea that her mother had magical powers. Her life changes dramatically when a strange couple takes her in, and she is forced to live with a selfish witch. As the headstrong young girl sets out to uncover the secrets of her new guardians, she discovers a world of spells and potions, and a mysterious song that may be the key to finding the family she has always wanted.
