Kika på Prologue: Go Wayback från PUBG: Battlegrounds-utvecklarna

För ett antal år sedan visade mannen bakom PUBG: Battlegrounds upp det mystiska Prologue, och insisterade på att även om detta var ett survival-spel för en spelare, så utspelade sig båda i samma universum.

Nu har vi äntligen fått veta dess fullständiga titel, men det har inte gjort oss särskilt mycket klokare. Det heter förvirrande nog nämligen Prologue: Go Wayback, där du ska "explore a vast, ever-changing wilderness while balancing adventure and discovery with intricate survival systems such as caloric intake, body temperature regulation, and shelter discovery and maintenance".

Spelet är dessutom en showcase för ett antal nya maskininlärningssystem som PUBG Studios arbetar med:

"The terrain is large and unpredictable, shaped by a machine learning-driven geological system where no route is predetermined. Players must read the landscape, choosing safe paths forward, without becoming lost. Weather is equally relentless and storms, temperature drops, and blizzards can be disastrous to the player, with early warning signs only visible to those who learn to recognize them."
