Kinesiska Tencent har snabbt blivit ett välbekant namn även i Europa efter att de bland annat köpt in sig i norska Funcom samt Epic Games, samt att de ska nu även hjälpa Nintendo med att lansera Switch i Kina. Nu siktar de in sig ytterligare på europeiska och amerikanska konsolspelare, och en anonym Tencent-anställd (via the Wall Street Journal) säger:
"What we want is to expand from China, and one target is console game players in the U.S. and Europe. We hope to create console games with Nintendo characters, and learn the essence of making console games from Nintendo engineers."
