Sedan 2008 när Marvel Studios debuterade med sin första egna film (Iron Man) har Kevin Feige effektivt byggt en av tidernas mest populära filmvärldar som bland annat DC Comics/Warner samt Fox och Universal nu försöker kopiera. Marvel-sfären är idag en gigantisk, gigantisk super-kassakossa och med kommande filmer som Thor: Ragnarök, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Black Panther, Iron Man 4, Spider-Man: Homecoming och Avengers: Infinity War 1/2 är det alltså dags för Marvel att tänka om, börja om - strukturera på ett annat sätt och kanske till och med göra något helt annat. Åtminstone om du frågar Feige. I in nygjord intervju med Collider såger han såhär:
"Right now, it starts with where we wanna take the stories. Certainly as we get to Avengers: Infinity War there will be a sense of a climax. By the time we're at the untitled Avengers 4, 22 movies will have encompassed the first three phases of the MCU. And what happens after that will be very different. I don't know if it's Phase 4, it might be a new thing. We have an idea of what the MCU looks like post-Infinity War, and it's gonna be very, very different."
