Förra månaden bekräftades att Sony stänger onlinebutikerna till Playstation 3, PSP och PS Vita under sommaren. Det betyder i huvudsak att du inte längre kommer kunna köpa nya spel och DLC digitalt till dessa format, något som lett till att 138 spel snart inte längre går att få tag på.
Men det verkar som att beslutet även kan ha fått andra konsekvenser. Flera användare på PSN Profiles-forumet har senaste tiden rapporterat att du inte längre får uppdatera spel du köpt längre. Däribland flera tungviktare som Gran Turismo 5, Journey, Little Big Planet: Game of the Year Edition och Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. Det betyder att om du äger dessa och vill ladda ner dem på nytt, så får du nöja dig med en ouppdaterad version.
Som för att göra ett redan trist problem ännu värre, har användare även noterat att det i vissa fall inte går att ladda hem DLC man köpt, för att det krävs en uppdaterad version av spelet. De som tänker att de kommer undan detta genom att köpa spel på skiva, slipper heller inte undan då inte heller dessa spel kan uppdateras. Förhoppningsvis är det något Sony kan fixa till, och vi återkommer isåfall. Det förtjänar ändå att nämnas att bevarandet av våra spel måste bli bättre i dessa digitala tider, annars riskerar väldigt många titlar och DLC helt enkelt att för alltid försvinna.
