Trots att dokumentären This is It släpptes samma år som Michael Jackson dog, har vi ännu inte sett någon film som försöker skildra artistens händelserika och kontroversiella liv.
Det är dock på väg, eftersom Lionsgate arbetar på en rulle som heter kort och gott "Michael", skriven av den Oscarsnominerade John Logan, som bland annat har skrivit The Aviator och Gladiator. Tack vare IGN vet vi nu att Antoine Fuqua regisserar.
Han har bland annat Training Day på meritlistan, men har också regisserat The Magnificent Seven och två Equalizer-filmer. Synopsis lyder:
"Michael will give audiences the never-before-told and in-depth portrayal of the complicated man who became the King of Pop. The film will explore all aspects of Michael's life, including his most iconic performances that led him to become the greatest entertainer of all time."
