Chefen för nöjesdelen hos Microsoft, Don Mattrick, säger i en intervju med The Verge att han inte är speciellt oroad över Valve eller deras omtalade konsol Steam-box och heller inte betraktar dem som en konkurrent.
Mattrick tillägger även att han föredrar de andra alternativen:"The scale of products and things that are being brought to market are probably a little bit richer when I look at Sony, Nintendo, Apple, and Google"
Inte heller tror Mattrick på att göra Xboxen till ett mer öppet format: "We're trying to make sure that what exists upon our service on our system is done to a quality level and has interest for people who are likely to use it."
Mattrick avslutar med att förklara att han trots allt är en Gabe-fan: "I love Gabe, I was there for his lifetime achievement award so it's wonderful to see what they're creating."
