My Arcade låter meddela att de inlett ett samarbete med Konami Cross Media NY Inc, som ger dem rätten att använda varumärket Contra. Vi kan bland annat se fram emot spelenheterna Micro Player och Pocket Player komplett med spelserien.
Dessa två kan dessutom kombineras så du kan spela tillsammans med någon annan tack vare My Arcades nya teknologi CO-VS. Micro Player innehåller original-Contra medan Pocket Player levereras med originalversionerna av Contra och Super C. Jennifer Coleman, marknadsföringschef hos Konami Cross Media NY, kommenterar samarbetet:
"Our mission is to find unique and exciting ways to extend Konami's iconic game franchises. The expansion of the Contra game line into standalone, compact versions, thanks to our partners at My Arcade, provides a unique opportunity for its millions of fans around the world to show their love for the game. We are happy to develop this new line of products with them for this popular title."
Amir Navid, är chef för produktutvecklingen samt creative director hos My Arcade, och hade följande att tillägga:
