Alla vet vi turerna kring framförallt Playstation 3 och det faktum att SOny sålde den för 5999 kronor och fortfarande gick back på varje enskild konsol. Detsamma gällde länge för Microsoft och Xbox 360 som på grund av Red Ring of Death var en förlustpryl i flera, flera år. Nintendo har nu försäkrat sina investerare om att kommande konsolen NX kommer att säljas med vinst från dag ett och att de kommer att släppa en hel drös högkvalitativa titlar samma dag som enheten dundras ut på butikshyllorna. Nintendos president, Tatsumi Kimishima, sade nyligen såhär:
"We are not thinking of launching the hardware at a loss. When Wii U was launched, the yen was very strong. I am assuming that situation will not repeat itself. Selling at a loss at launch would not support the business, so we are keeping that mind in developing NX. One of the reasons for choosing the launch timing that we did is so that the software lineup will be ready in time for the hardware launch. Not only at launch, but we also need to be able to continuously release titles after launch. We are planning for this to be a platform that consumers can enjoy for a long time."
Nintendo NX kommer att släppas i mars nästa år.
