Nu har Tequila Works lagt ner för gott

Fem månader efter konkursansökan har Tequila Works nu officiellt stängt. Den välkända spanska spelstudion som ligger bakom The Sexy Brutale, Deadlight, Rime och Gylt, har kämpat för att hålla sig flytande efter att deras senaste spel kommersiellt misslyckats, trots goda recensioner. Grundaren, Raúl Rubio, publicerade ett inlägg på Linkedin där han bekräftade att detta är slutet för Tequila Works:

"Fifteen years of memories and experiences, lessons and lessons, smiles and miseries, unbreakable friendships and irreconcilable breakups, plenty of bumps and bumps in the road, the occasional miracle, and a lot of vertigo, condensed into a few images. It's been an unforgettable three decades."

Tequila hade verkligen otur med en del av sina samarbetspartners. Studions två sista titlar, Gylt och Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, underpresterade kommersiellt: det första var ursprungligen en Google Stadia-exklusivitet och det andra var en del av Riot Forge, en kortlivad utgivare av League of Legends-spinoffs som inte fick tillräckligt mycket uppmärksamhet från Riot Games.
