Efter releasen av actionliret The Division sjönk, som med de allra flesta spel, spelarantalet i takt med att nyhets behag började avta. Nu, efter att man bland annat lanserat patchen 1.4, verkar det dock som allt mer spelare börjar återvända till Massive Entertainments virtuella och virusinfekterade New York - i alla fall om vi får tro Ubisoft-anställde Anne Blondel i en intervju med PCGamesN:
"Since the release of patch 1.4, we went back to the daily active users we had at launch, because people were [so impressed]"
Blondel förnekar sedan inte att spelare försvann snabbare än väntat efter spelets lansering, men hon förtydligar även att utvecklaren efter ett tag inte ville stressa fram mer material utan fokuserade istället på att rätta till alla misstag innan man började skeppa ut mer DLC.
"Some players left the game earlier than what we thought, then we had to make that tough call - do we keep providing them with extra content or do we stop everything for a while, settle down, fix everything and then once the game is where it should be, then we start providing more content.
And this is what we did [and] the community was super happy about it, even though they were disappointed at first that we were to push back the next DLC releases."
Patch 1.5 och nya DLC-paketet Survival är numera ute till PC och Xbox One medan Playstation 4-användarna får vänta till den 20:e december.
