Johnny Depp producerar TV-serie baserad på The Secret World

Funcom har inlett ett samarbete med Johnny Depps bolag Infinitum Nihil för att göra en TV-serie baserad på onlinerollspelet The Secret World. Där följer vi agenter på extremhemliga uppdrag medan de bekämpar det övernaturliga i flera dimensioner.

Pilotavsnittet har författats av James V. Hart (Hook, Dracula) och Jake Hart medan bland annat Johnny Depp producerar tillsammans med Pam Veasey. Funcom-chefen chefen Rui Casais säger såhär i ett officiellt uttalande:

"The Secret World universe is full of stories just waiting to be told. From secret societies to myths and legends that are all coming true, The Secret World captures some of humanity's greatest mysteries and asks "what if?". As the developers of The Secret World and Secret World Legends, we think it is a fantastic premise for a television show and one we hope will capture the collective imagination of the audience."
