George Lucas pratar om planerna för sin Star Wars-trilogi

Säga vad man vill om George Lucas och hans prequel-trilogi, men visst vågade gubben köra sitt eget rymdrace i Star Wars-universumet. Nu har det nämligen avslöjats via boken "James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction" att han hade helt andra planer för rymdoperan än den klassiska kampen mellan gott och ont som Disney har tagit och skulle tydligen handla om mikroskopiska väsen som kontrollerar universum:

"The next three Star Wars films were going to get into the microbiotic world. But there's this world of creatures that operate differently than we do. I call them the Whills. And the Whills are the ones that actually control the universe. They feed off the Force"

För de som avskydde konceptet om Midichlorians kanske detta låter någotlunda bekant, men trots att Lucas är väl medveten om kritiken han har fått genom åren och att fans förmodligen skulle hata dessa Whills likväl, skulle han ändå göra en filmtrilogi baserat på denna mikrovärld - även om det inte framgår exakt hur storyn skulle se ut:

"If I'd held onto the company I could have done it, and then it would have been done. Of course, a lot of the fans would have hated it, just like they did Phantom Menace and everything, but at least the whole story from beginning to end would be told"
