Efter att ha producerat de tre första spelen i Fable-serien, avgick Peter Molyneux från både Lionhead och Microsoft för att söka lyckan på annat håll. Därmed är han inte alls inblandad i Fable Legends och betraktar spelet på håll som en vanlig dödlig. Spelbloggen Joystiq har fått sig en pratstund med Molyneux som förklarar att han är överraskad att Lionhead inte valde att göra Fable IV ("...there was a great prize to be won there."), men konstaterar samtidigt att han är ett fan av det nya Fable-konceptet.
"I'm now more of a fan than a person involved in it. They're very talented people [at Lionhead], I'd just be fascinated to see where they're taking it. They've announced the Legends route which I find intriguing."
Det betyder dock inte att det skulle vara något fel på idén, tvärtom. Peter Molyneux utvecklar resonemanget och säger:
"I'm a fan. I like the idea, it seems to be a playful idea, and I'm gonna be fascinated to see how that evolves. Until they make a game and I can get my hands on it... then maybe I'll think to myself 'Oh God why did they do this and that?' But at the moment I'm intrigued and fascinated."
