Ubisoft has announced the location and dates for the next Major in the competitive Rainbow Six: Siege calendar. Set to take place from November 8 to November 14, the Major will be hosted by Sweden and is looking to take place in the city of Gävle.
This Major was set to be hosted in Asia, but due to the ongoing pandemic, Ubisoft has decided to make a change to its location to "take into account travel restrictions and local regulations." To fit this, the event will be a LAN-event, but there will not be a live audience, to follow the strict sanitary measures that are in place.
The Major itself will follow the same format as the Mexico Major that was hosted a few months ago, and will boast a Group Stage between November 8-10, before moving onto a Playoffs level event between November 12-14.
In the tournament, teams and players will be competing for prize money, the title, and even some final points towards qualifying for the Six Invitational 2022.
To celebrate the November Major, Ubisoft has also announced that a new Operator bundle is now available to purchase in-game, with which 30% of the revenue the skin earns goes to the prize pool of the competition, up to a limit of an extra $500,000.
