Redan i maj uttryckte Margot Robbie en önskan om att Birds of Prey skulle bli en barnförbjuden film. Den önskan är nu ett steg närmare att slå in då Cathy Yan, filmens regissör, också vill se en våldsammare film än vad som borde anses lämpligt för den yngre publiken. Detta bekräftade hon under U.S.-China Entertainment Summit som nyligen hölls i Los Angeles.
