Holländska indieutvecklaren Two Tribes har utannonserat att Rive blir deras sista spel, och att de därefter bara ska jobba med deras utgivna titlar och se till att de är uppdaterade. Rive släpps till PC, Playstation 4, Wii U och Xbox One i september.
Detta utannonserande gjordes på utvecklarens blogg där de skriver:
"This is it! After more than 15 years of hard work and gallons of blood, sweat and tears, we have decided that RIVE will be Two Tribes' final game. This may come as a surprise for you, but we've actually been thinking about it for some time now."
There is a long explanation of some of the reasoning that has gone into this, as you may know Two Tribes downsized a lot following Toki Tori 2, but the summary goes like this:
Long story short (grandfathers like to digress!): when running a company, you need to be on top of your game, not just in terms of the product you're making, but business-wise too. And we just aren't on top of the games business anymore."
