The former Formula 1 driver, Romain Grosjean has partnered with Motorsport Games, and has joined the games developer as an advisor on both its titles (with an emphasis on rFactor 2) and esports events.
As revealed in a blog post, Grosjean's role at Motorsport Games will include seeing the racing driver using his racing experience to participate in technical tests for rFactor 2, wherein he will provide feedback to enhance the game going forward. This will also be the case for Motorsport's esports events, as Grosjean will also be providing feedback and knowledge to better both the Le Mans Virtual Series but also the INDYCAR-Motorsports Games Pro Challenge.
"I'm very happy to be taking on the role of technical advisor for Motorsport Games and can't wait to help provide feedback on rFactor 2, a simulation that I frequently use," said Grosjean. "The company has shown through its esports events such as the Le Mans Virtual Series and the recent INDYCAR-Motorsport Games Pro Challenge that it is perfectly placed to provide top esports through its products and events."
Motorsport has also said that Grosjean will be key in elevating its events. "With Romain, we will be able to take our Le Mans and INDYCAR esports events to the next level."
