Det finns många Spawn-fans där ute som aldrig fått se sin ikoniska antihjälte få en rättvis behandling utanför serietidningarna, (enda undantagen är gästspel i Soul Calibur II och Mortal Kombat 11. Men det verkar vara på väg att förändras.
Enligt ComicBook.com är en helt ny Spawn-film på väg. De uppger att den är i "very very active development" och att avsikten är att rullen ska ha premiär 2025.
Som det ser ut just nu kan manuset tyvärr inte färdigställas på grund av den pågående författarstrejken i Hollywood, vilket riskerar att försena hela produktionen avsevärt.
Jason Blum, via Blumhouse, producerar filmen och har detta att säga om projektet:
"I would say you have a lot to hope for because it's in very very active development. What needs to happen is that my fellow friends the writers and the studios need to figure out their differences and get back to writing, but we've got a great group of folks putting it together, and my hope is that that movie -- my prediction is maybe we'll actually see a Spawn movie in '25. No promises, but that's my prediction."
