"What's really important for us is that Sea of Thieves feels like a classic Rare game. It's got the humour, it's got the tone," berättade Chapman för oss.
"The game is this ultimate cooperative experience where players can go on adventures, they can engage in ship combat, the can do quests and it's just this broad experience that puts cooperative play at the very heart."
For us the next big goal is to get the game into beta. It's a massively ambitious game as I'm sure you'll appreciate, so getting that into the hands of real players and seeing how they use the systems, how sail across the world and what interests them. That's what we're really keen to find out and to really shape the game on their feedback. That's our next big goal."
"What matters is that we have the right experience. We're so passionate and inspired to build this kind of pirate world where players can just get lost in. Our goal is to build the most immersive, shareable and cooperative adventure game ever made."
