Sebastian Stan har idag ett ganska imponerande CV, men likt många andra har han förstås fått kämpa för sin status och har även han fått nobben otaliga gånger för roller han gärna ville ha. Två av dessa var som Captain Kirk och Green Lantern, roller som sedan kom att spelas av Chris Pine respektive Ryan Reynolds. I en intervju med Happy Sad Confused podcast utvecklar han:
"There were a couple of things I didn't get that I really desperately wanted. But Captain Kirk for J.J. Abrams; that was one of the first I got very close to.
I remember I was really, really close, and I remember I had a screen test with Abrams at Paramount, and my manager had me do a separate photo shoot where I would try and replicate all these William Shatner pictures just to send to him, see how much I looked like him, but I didn't get it."
Det var alltså ganska nära att vi fick en annan Captain Kirk men enligt Stan så var det också ganska när att han landade rollen som Green Lantern, idag är hon dock ganska glad att det inte blev så:
"Green Lantern was another that I screen tested for. I remember getting there, and it was like me, Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto, Ryan Reynolds and maybe one other person, and I'm looking at these guys going, 'I'm f—ed! There's no way this is happening!' But you come close, and it wouldn't happen, and in a way, I gotta tell you, looking back, I'm almost glad it didn't. Because I don't know if I could have handled that level of attention like some of those guys."
Tror du Sebastian Stan hade varit ett bra val som Captain Kirk eller Green Lantern?
Ryan Reynolds spelade som bekant Green Lantern men det kunde lika gärna blivit Jared Leto eller just Sebastian Stan om ödet velat annorlunda.
