Sega erkänner: "Vi utannonserade nästa Sonic-spel för tidigt"

Det var i maj som Sega meddelande att ett ännu ej namngivet Sonic-spel var under utveckling. Vi fick inte se speciellt mycket där och då, förutom att Sonic sprang runt en mystisk symbol, och detaljerna efteråt har varit lika magra. Nu erkänner Sega-höjdaren Takashi Iizuka i en intervju med 4Gamer att man visade upp spelet för tidigt:

"We haven't announced a brand new action game for the Sonic series since Sonic Forces, and that caused fans to worry. While it was a bit premature, I wanted to at least take the occasion of the 30th anniversary to announce that a brand new title was in development."

Gällande den mystiska symbolen i teaser-trailen så svarade Iizuka följande:

"It is something symbolic that appears in the game, but the meaning is still a secret. However, I will say that it's not something one would figure out through deduction. we'll eventually share more details, so please wait a little longer."

Detta nya Sonic-äventyr är planerat att släppas under nästa år, och baserat på Iizukas erkännande så tippar vi att det sker som tidigast under nästa höst.
