Sony offentliggjorde nyligen sina finansiella resultat, men även om konsolen säljer bra på, så är det klart mindre än Sony räknat med och vinster sjunker. Så vad händer nu?
Sony säger att Playstation 5 är på väg in i den så kallade "latter stages" av sin livscykel, i en intervju hos Bloomberg. Sonys Senior Vice President Naomi Matsuoka förklarar där att de nu förväntar sig att försäljningstakten för Playstation 5 ska minska:
"Looking ahead, PS5 will enter the latter stage of its life cycle. As such, we will put more emphasis on the balance between profitability and sales. For this reason, we expect the annual sales pace of PS5 hardware will start falling from the next fiscal year."
Totalt har 54,8 miljoner Playstation 5-enheter sålt sedan konsolen släpptes sent år 2020.
En mer kraftfull version av Playstation 5 väntas släppas senare i år.
