Days Gone kommer endast ha ett enspelarläge. Ett multiplayerläge presenterades dock för Sony, men de sa nej eftersom de ville fokusera på att få ut spelet, då det redan försenats.
Det var inte spelskaparna Bend Studio som låg bakom idén. Det var istället World War Z-utvecklarna Saber Interactive som föreslog att multiplayer kunde vara en bra idé och att de kunde utveckla det.
Det berättar Saber Interactives vd Matt Karch för Venture Beat.
"At some point, I went to Sony and said, 'I've seen what you're doing with Days Gone. Look what we're doing with World War Z. Maybe we can help you with a multiplayer component.' But they were obviously too focused, and understandably, on what they needed to do to get that game out."
Days Gone släpps den 26:e april 2019 till Playstation 4.
