Det var i min blogg om hyllade 2023-rullen signerat Marty Scorsese som jag slog fast att bokens fokus på FBI-utredningen och J. Edgar Hoovers utskickade agenters grundliga arbete, bytts ut mot Ernerst Burkharts ganska enfaldiga perspektiv, något som bland andra jag inte uppskattade. En annan som inte gillade den omarbetningen är Paul Schrader, manusförfattaren bakom Scorseses odödliga mästerverk Taxi Driver (samt Tjuren från Bronx), som menar att DiCaprio naturligtvis borde spelat rollen som polis bakom utredningen av indian-morden - och inte byfåne.
"I would have preferred Leonardo DiCaprio to play the role of the cop in Killers of the Flower Moon rather than the role of the idiot. Spending three-and-a-half hours in the company of an idiot is a long time."
Han har absolut en poäng. Eller vad säger du?
