Mickie and the rest of Team Envy back at the OGN arena in Seoul, South Korea.

If you are a fan of competitive Overwatch, you might remember the days before the Overwatch League started, when Team Envy was the Western powerhouse team who marched into Korea and won a championship. You might also remember how the team needed a new flex tank desperately and added the unknown name Pongphop "Mickie" Rattanasangchod out of nowhere, leading us all to discover his true potential.

Well, it's been a few years since then and Mickie hasn't exactly been involved in the Overwatch esports scene in a while, and as all good things must come to an end, so has his tenure as a member of Team Envy.

The Texas-based esports organisation recently announced over Twitter that Mickie would no longer be part of Team Envy stating; "Thank you, Mickie, for all of the endless laughter, memories and your contagious smile. You will always be a part of our family. We wish you nothing but success and happiness in all of your future endeavours."

We don't know where Mickie is going or if this marks the end of his esports career, ultimately choosing to focus on content creation, either way, we're sure we'll find out more information as the New Year rolls in.
