I The Crew kommer du att kunna köpa biltrim och uppgraderingar med riktiga pengar, något som Ubisoft bekräftade under gårdagen och något som gör titeln till ett så kallat Pay-to-win-spel. Mången körsugen spelare har rasat mot detta vilket gjort att Ubisoft valt att kommentera informationen på det här sättet:
"We can confirm that performance parts can be unlocked through progression as well as microtransactions. All content can be unlocked through progression, but for busy gamers they will have the opportunity to buy items in-game."
