Ubisoft lovar att ta hand om sin personal i Ukraina

Precis som Polen har Ukraina blivit ett ganska stort land för spelutveckling efter Sovjetunionens fall. Detta innebär att en jätte som Ubisoft har gott om personal som antingen kommer från Ukraina eller arbetar i landet (där de har studion Ubisoft Ukraine som enligt LinkedIn har 137 anställda), vilket för närvarande upplever rysk aggression och krigföring.

Nu har Ubisoft delat med sig av sin policy om hur de kommer att hjälpa personal som drabbats av denna helt onödiga tragedi. I ett långt brev förklaras strategin:

"Last week, when the unthinkable became a reality, Ubisoft worked to reinforce our support and assistance for our colleagues in Ukraine. We have set up alternative housing in neighboring countries where our colleagues and their families can take shelter if they wish and are able to do so.

To stay closely connected to all our team members, Ubisoft has created dedicated hotlines to provide them personalized support and aid. We have also put in place an emergency communication system to ensure we are able to keep in touch with our colleagues in all circumstances.

We stand by our teams in Ukraine and will continue to adapt and reinforce our support as the situation evolves."

Ubisoft skriver också att personal i nöd "was provided additional funds to help cover exceptional costs" och att de också "paid their salary in advance to account for any potential disruption to banking systems". Slutligen donerar de också en total summa på €200 000 till Ukrainas Röda Kors och Rädda Barnen.
