Sen ett år tillbaka är ett av spelvärldens hetaste diskussionsämnen hur många bilder per sekund som dagens PS4/Xbox One-spel renderas i. 30 är för lite anser mången initierad gamer medan casual-spelaren knappt ser skillnaden. Nu har Ubisofts Creative Director för Assassin's Creed: Unity, Alex Amancio, uttalat sig om skärmuppdateringsfrågan och han har väldigt bestämda åsikter i frågan. Unity renderas i 900p till våra nya konsoler och i 30 bilder per sekund.

It doesn't look like the real thing. It's a bit like the Hobbit movie (HFR), it looked really weird. And in other games it's the same - like the Rachet and Clank series. So I think collectively in the video game industry we're dropping that standard because it's hard to achieve, it's twice as hard as 30 fps, and it's not really that great in terms of rendering quality of the picture and the image."
Intressanta uttalanden från teamet bakom Assassin's Creed som alltså anser att 60 FPS ser "konstigt" ut i ett spel av den här typen. Vad tycker du?
