"You can play the game violently; you can take the brute approach and try to kill anyone. And mostly it's possible to kill most of the people in the game, except the really important ones. We had to make a decision; will we let the player kill everyone and break the game, or will we protect someone in order to keep the main storyline playable. And we decided we will keep it playable. Otherwise, you can be pretty violent. There is a lot of bandits and rogues, and there is a lot of action in some quests as well, but generally, you can play the game also as a bard, or as a thief. There is only one actual character you have to kill during the game. All the others you can spare, and even if you are in a fight you can spare people; they will ask for mercy and you can actually spare them and they will run away. And they can leave you some loot if you want, like you can say 'Ok, I will let you go, but give me some money.' You can do this already."
