Den franska mediejätten Vivendi har köpt in sig Ubisoft och Gameloft. För två år sedan sålde de av hela Activision Blizzard men nu verkar de alltså vara sugna på spelvärlden igen. Efter detta äger nu Vivendi 10,39% av Ubisoft och 10,2% av Gameloft.
Ubisoft själva är inte glada över detta, utan chefen Yves Guillemot kallar köpet "unwelcome" och säger:
"We're going to fight to preserve our independence. We should not let this situation - nor any future actions by Vivendi or others - distract us from our goals. Our best defence is to stay focused on what we have always done best - deliver the most original and memorable gaming experiences."
