Gamesindustry skriver idag att analysfirman Wedbush Morgan anser att Nintendo redan väntat för länge med att släppa sin kommande konsol Wii U. Så här skriver företagets analytiker Michael Pachter, Edward Woo och Nick McKay:
"We think that Wii U is arriving two years late, given that the other HD consoles already have peripherals for movemen. As Nintendo did not provide any specifics around the new console's power or pricing, we are assuming that the Wii U is unlikely to provide greater power than the current HD consoles."
"If that is the case, we believe Nintendo has conceded a tremendous first mover advantage to Microsoft and Sony, which launched Kinect and Move control schemes, respectively, in late 2010."
Michael Pachter har i flera år sagt att Nintendo borde utannonsera en HD-kompatibel Wii, men menar alltså att det nu redan är försent för dem att rå på Sony och Microsofts konsoler. Frågan är om Wii U kommer kunna mäta sig med rivalernas nya konsoler i framtiden.
