Bruce Straley jobbade tidigare på Naughty Dog men lämnade studion efter närmare 20 år. Detta efter att ha regisserat succéer som Uncharted 4 och The Last of Us.
2020 skapade han en ny studio vid namn Wildflower Interactive och sade då; "In 2017 I left the industry not sure if I wanted to make games anymore. But the longer I was away, I kept thinking about this medium, and everything yet to be done and everything I wanted to do still. And this idea kept following me. So I grabbed some friends and we started prototyping."
We have to do it the right way," he said in the video. "It has to be inclusive, equitable and collaborative, full of big-hearted people that want to grow both professionally and personally. The culture needs to be as iterative as the way we make games."
Nu har den lilla studion med 16 anställda visat upp sitt första kommande spel. Coven of the Chicken Foot är ett äventyrsspel där du spelar som den äldre häxan Gertie som reser tillsammans med en underlig figur. På dess Steam-sida finns följande information om det:
Coven of the Chicken Foot is a charming yet dark, character puzzle-platformer set in a stylized world that 'winks' at the tropes of a traditional fantasy-adventure game. As Gertie, players venture into dark dungeons, lush forests, catacombs of fallen heroes, and mucky bogs that kill all those that dare enter. Gertie is not your typical hero: She won't be swinging swords or double-jumping her way past dangers. Instead, she must learn to work with and adapt to her peculiar companion to survive.
