Dark Deception: Monsters & Mortals är ett skräckspel från Glowstick Entertainment som släpptes år 2020. Det är dock återigen hett, men av lite andra anledningar än man kanske kunnat tro. Monster Energy har nämligen hotat Glowstick Entertainment med rättsliga åtgärder.
VD och grundare av Glowstick Entertainment, Vincent Livings, planerar dock inte att ändra sitt spels namn eller logotyp, och gjorde nyligen hårda uttalanden mot Monster Energy och hur företaget går efter spel som har ordet "monster" i sina titlar. Livings sade:
"Monster Energy's lawyers are coming after us right now, because [Dark Deception: Monsters & Mortals] has the word "Monsters" in it. They claim that our game is confusingly similar to their energy drink. Yep, that's really their claim... Rather than roll over, I'm going to fight them in court. I'll be sharing everything I've received from Monster Energy to give other game developers a look at their tactics in case they ever want to put the word "monster(s)" in their game title and have to deal with Monster Energy as a result."
Vi vet inte när eller om detta kommer gå till domstol, men Living planerar att samla in pengar till kampen i en stream senare den här månaden, där han planerar att spela spel som har ordet "monster" i titeln.
