Innan THQ olyckligtvis gick i konkurs 2013 hade Ian Curran hunnit stiga rejält i graderna. Efter att ha spenderat mer än ett decennium hos företaget, lyckades han vandra mellan flera stora positioner och slutligen knipa en av chefsplatserna, vice VD. Nu har han gått vidare och skrivit på för både COO (Chief Operative Officer) och vice VD för Segas amerikanska division.
Det nya förvärvet offentliggjordes via ett pressmeddelande:
"Ian will be responsible for utilizing all resources available to maximize the profitability of the publishing and Sonic business units within the Americas and EMEA, serving also on the board of Atlus U.S.A., Inc. He will report directly to the CEO of SEGA West, Tatsuyuki Miyazaki and will work with employees in SEGA's offices located in Irvine, Burbank and London."
Naoto Hiraoka, boss för Altus, är mycket nöjd med sin nya kollega:
"We've been looking for someone to fill this role for some time, so we couldn't be more pleased to have Ian join our operations as COO and President of SEGA of America. His many years of experience in video game publishing, leading, developing and transforming organizations, is a perfect fit for our long-term aspirations and will be invaluable as we look to expand our business,"
Ian är själv peppad och ivrig att komma igång:

Sega själva har, sedan de köpte upp Altus 2013, skördat framgång efter framgång. Bland andra Personna-, Valkyria Chronicles och Yakuza-serierna har under de senaste åren gett företaget en välförtjänt puff och med flera nya produktioner på ingång ser det ut att bara fortsätta.
