HTC gör inte bara smartphones, utan som bekant även ett virtual reality-headset tillsammans med Valve. Nu kan de även titulera sig spelutvecklare efter att ha utannonserat Vive Studios, som både ska tillverka och publicera spel för HTC Vive. Som alltid vid högtidliga presentationer finns ett uttalande om saken från företaget:
"Vive Studios is actively creating content across key categories for VR including games, education, cinematic, design, social, real-estate, and sports, as well as tools and applications that can revolutionise areas such as media, retail, healthcare and location-based entertainment centres and arcades."
Även HTC-höjdare Joel Breton hade lite att säga om detta och antydde att deras spel även kan komma till andras virtual realtiy-enheter:
"Each piece of content will be released where it makes the most sense", och utvecklade detta genom att säga: "content should be open and go wherever consumers want to access it."
