All kritik mot Forza Motorsport 5 och dess mikrotransaktioner har som bekant lett till att stora delar av spelet helt enkelt gjorts om, och nu låter Forza Horizon 2-utvecklarna via Digital Spy meddela att detta är en viktigt fråga för dem och därför blir det inget sådant i deras spel:
"That's incredibly important to us. For that reason, we will launch in September without tokens."
Istället ska det gå snabbare att låsa upp bilar så man kontinuerligt ska kunna byta sig till en fräsch kärra man trivs i:
"We've got an amazing list of 200 plus cars, and we want you to explore it. We want to enable you, at very regular intervals, to be able to change your car, pick a new one from the list. If that doesn't work out, you're able to buy a new one really quickly."
