Ett format som saknas i den digra listan över vilka enheter Konami tänker släppa Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 till är PS Vita, detta trots att exempelvis PSP finns med. Ett misstag har många utgått ifrån, men nu har Konami sagt bestämt nej till att PES 2013 ska släppas till PS Vita i en intervju med CVG.
"There will not be a Vita version of PES this year", säger senior producer Naoya Hatsumi.
Istället kikar man på möjligheten att föra serien till smartphones: "We are looking at far more potentials", säger Hatsumi.
"Not just thinking of consoles like PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita, but looking at much wider potential users. Because of the change of lifestyle, for example users now use iPad and iPhone, they can play football games if they want to. That means we're not just limited to console users.", fortsätter han.
"Wider users now have potential access to video games. That's what we want to do; we would like as many potential users as possible to play Pro Evolution Soccer.", avslutar Hatsumi.
