Jag tror att jag talar för förhållandevis många Playstation-spelare när jag säger att de flesta mer än gärna hade velat se en fortsättning på det alldeles utomordentligt underhållande Resistance 3 som likt tvåan var ett mycket lyckat actionspel. Tyvärr sålde de inte riktigt som Sony hade hoppats på och eftersom Sony för ett par år sedan beslutade sig för att lägga 15 miljarder kronor på misslyckade Live Service-projekt, tackade de nej till Insomniacs pitch för Resistance 4, något som studiogrundaren Ted Price (som nu pensionerat sig och lämnat Insomniac) nyligen pratade med Kinda Funny Gamecast om:

"We did pitch that one and it was a wonderful concept... It was the result of a lot of Insomniac team members being passionate about extending the story further... I do believe that Resistance has set up a really cool alternate history base where anything can happen with the Chimera and where they go and what their origins are. We spent a lot of time working on backstory and brainstorming on where we could take this in the future."
Synd och skam, såklart. Vi hade kunnat fått detta samt Killzone 5 istället för Concord och det nedlagda God of War GAAS.
