Sea of Thieves fick ett tämligen blandat mottagande världen över, och vi gav det betyget fem i vår recension (sju i andra omdöme). Nu har Xbox-chefen Phil Spencer kommenterat spelet efter att ha tillfrågats om det från en spelare på Twitter som skrev:
"I don't understand how this game was released literally bare bones (no pun). U don't think that's bad for the long short-long term health? The reason games like SOT are successful like @Minecraft is for its underlining depth and social aspects"
Spencer brukar ofta ta sig tid att bemöta spelare och svarade såhär:
"It's about building a high quality accessible game that's inviting to millions. Ensuring we've done all the work with our systems for strong post-launch support with a real plan for that. I think Rare has done that and players are responding."
Tidigare i samma diskussion sade Spencer att de kommer satsa hårt på att bygga ut Sea of Thieves, vilket såklart låter lovande:
"Team has plan to continue to make progress with SoT, very committed to this IP and it's growth."
