Phantom Halls kan redan nu avnjutas tack vare Steam Early Access, och här ska du som spelare överleva i en hemsökt herrgård med hjälp av det du hittar i omgivningarna. Temat är retrodoftande B-filmsskräck, med fokus på satir och humor. Vi fick nyligen träffa ena utvecklaren Llexi Leon, som hade mycket intressant att berätta om spelet och sade bland annat:
"Every character in the game has their own reasons for exploring the mansion. Even with our own original characters, the more of those characters you play with and unlock, you'll start to see how those characters know each other and how they're part of a larger story that unfolds."
Angående spelets inspirationskällor säger han:
"The key art is a classic psycho haunted house mansion on a hill with an eerie blue glow and I was kind of playing tribute to the game Maniac Mansion. There's a lot of things about it that inspired Phantom Halls. It's a completely different type of game but nonetheless, it's a game where you explore a weird, creepy mansion and there's a lot of funny and quirky characters that interact and have a lot of banter. I love the writing in that game and despite the retro graphics and all of that, for me Phantom Halls in a way evokes the mood and feeling of a game like that, with the witty writing and the fun banter and all that stuff, in that haunted house setting."
