Flera rykten har tidigare antytt att Naughty Dog antingen är på väg att eller redan arbetar med The Last of Us: Part III, men röstskådespelaren bakom karaktären Tommy (Jeffrey Pierce) verkar inte helt övertygad om det. Pierce säger nämligen att Naughty Dog ännu inte kontaktat honom om att dyka upp i nästa spel. I en intervju med Dexerto förklarar han:
"At this point it's not something that has begun in any fashion, at least, not that I know of, and I would hate to set myself up to have expectations about what it would be and then have it be something completely different. I'm going to trust when Neil hands me a script that it's going to be perfect because that's the way it's been up until now. And when that happens and I'm asked about The Last of Us: Part III, I have to say I have no idea what you're talking about."
Är han väldigt bra på att hålla hemligheter, eller håller Naughty Dog fortfarande bara på med planeringen tror du - för visst lär väl Tommy dyka upp i trean?
